Time
I have been absent from here for years. I almost forgot I started a blog, but I did not forget the WHY. In the end I still want to help people live their healthiest best lives! I am currently doing a 200 Yoga Teacher Training. I have done two 3 day juice cleanse and am about to embark on a new clean beauty adventure (nothing in the network marketing realm). We sold the house in Kentucky and have not decided where we want to retire. We have been in Pittsburgh now for 15 months. Pittsburgh has nice people but a terrible place to live for a sun worshipper like myself. Pittsburgh is known for its clouds and rain, it has Seattle beat hands down! My 49th birthday is a mere 10 days from now. I have had so many highs and lows over this time period I cannot type the words. I am truly looking forward to what 2020 has in store for me. I think I am just starting something great. I know it must align with a healthy lifestyle and it has to make my heart full. Perhaps we will meet again next Friday with more updates, plans, and tips!

Can't we just live in the NOW?
Already we are seeing the Back to School commercials and hearing about the sales and school supply drives. I'm also seeing more than I care buzz about Fall scents and such. Today is merely July 24. Summer just began June 21 and people just can't enjoy for what it is, a season. Do folks never tire of.... the "I'm so sick of....." converstion? When Fall and Winter come you will probably be longing for some lazy days of Summer. I too can be guilty of tiring of certain weather, but you wont hear me complain about the warm; I can always cool down. But the cold? Well, depending on where you may live that cold air can cut straight thru ya!
Also wanted to touch base on my health and fitness journey. It's going great! I am currently a size 6 and loving it! My body fat/ muscle ratio is where all the focus is currently. I gave up the scale in order to remain sane! As you may know the smaller you get the harder it becomes to lose fat and/or gain muscle. One must really tweak each caloric burn and morsel that enters the mouth. But, it's a journey, it's MY journey and I'm still going at my pace. It's a lifestyle not a race. There is no finish line, no big event I have to lose 10 more pounds to attend. Just me trying to improve my lifestyle and take care of the body I've been given.

What you can do to substitute soda
Are you still drinking soda daily? Do you drink more soda than water? What is it with the soda that keeps you going back for more? The sweet? Possibly the fizz? Just an addiction? Well, I'm going to give you all the tips you need to rid yourself of all that sugar intake. First, I understand you may not be willing to quit cold turkey and that's completely understandable. So what you need to do is be smarter than the addiction. Start small with buying the 100 calorie cans of soda. Put lots of ice in your soda to help dilute it a bit and slowly decrease the amount you drink per day. You see as your taste buds change your eating and drinking habits are sure to follow. After I stopped drinking soda I found myself longing for the fizz and trust me I went through every fizzy drink out there until I found my favorite drink, San Pellegrino. It's a mineral water that has that fizz to it. You can find it flavored too! I personally do not care for the lemon, I enjoy the blood orange or orange flavor. Just another tip, I enjoy the unflavored in the bottles, and the flavored versions in the cans. Just begin to play around with these ideas and before you know it you too will be soda free in 2013!
